It’s Not Over….

….But atleast Social Science is!!! YAY! After all that I’ve been through throughout the year…scoring sub-60 marks and to know almost all if not all answers in my paper was just amazing…..!

I dunno…I had this ‘mental block’ or something regarding the whole issue. Social science was that ONE subject where I managed to bungee and take the result along with it…without it i had been crossing 90 like anything. So how did I manage? Here’s how Jan-Feb shaped up:

January:
Flunked Geography/Eco. Went for spaceset…so no study.

February
Tried studying till about the 15th and went for the 2nd preboard. Barely passed in both his/pol and geo/eco. I thought…this was the time to work up and I literally SLOGGED during the past 2 weeks or so….i was doing about 5-10 hours distributed evenly in the day along with cricket matches, football and the works….

Morning, 4 march
Got up and realized that I did not remember ANYTHING. I completely blanked out…There came Slayer( for those who dont know, slayer is this LOUD band I would not recommend to the faint hearted types) and mental peace was restored….

I was calm enough during the test….that helped a lot!

To be honest, Set 1 WAS easy….the other sets required a LOT of thinking……GOD! Thank you luck was on my side!!

German day after…….so preparing for that now..

ALL THE BEST TO ALL!

  1. Well, French is also done for me. I think I’ve done decently. I’m just praying that I’ll get at least 80-90 in French and SST (anything can happen in these two). The next subjects are my ’stronger subjects’, for want of a better phrase.

Please help me a bit with the mental side. I keep on worrying about the papers after and I start thinking that I’ve not written something like my Code No or something like that. I know that the invigilators check our details on signing, but I can’t get these worries out of my head. I want this next month to be peaceful, not stressful.

Good luck to you, although I know the battle is nearly done for you! :)

  2. Why do you worry about the code no. and other things??? concentrate on what the questions are and what you have to exactly answer. and yes…make sure that you write the code as soon as you get the qpaper…

u’ll do well in your *stronger subjects*….n yea…..you’ll OBVIOUSLY get full marks atleast in science OR maths OR maybe both!!

    enjoy the boards…….tension free!

n yeah…i have my own battles to take care of….i’m amidst a war against myself and time……;)

  3. No tension now. I’m sure we’ll both do well. And if things go astray, let’s think: is the board really life and death? No it’s not. It’s just a stepping stone, something to be improved on.

So, what are you gonna do after the month is out and we’re free of the boards? Any plans for the new session?

I’m currently making a little archive of questions for this year’s quiz that we’ll hold. Shall I send it over to you for inspection? I am your quizzing apprentice, after all. :)

All set for math, science and english. I hope we can both get a few 100s (IT, science and math). BTW, it IS possible to get 100 in English. See Prateek’s blog and see the post on bored exam :) results.

I don’t believe this. It seems a perfect score in Maths is just beyond my reach. Miscalculated the median (divided N by 2 one two many times). Enough to wipe 1/2-1 mark from my score.

At least I’ve answered everything in a systematic order, explaining everything I could. Ah well. Time for English and Science. Hopefully something will go 100% right for a change.

  6. ya….i may or may not get 100….nobody knows……but yaar….99 not so bad after all!

try hard for science and english…..But why d I have this intuition that my 100 is reserved for social science?

    best of luck dude!

  7. English was relaxing. Just the thing I needed. Now, I have only good thoughts in my head. I’m still a bit nervous about what the result will be, but I’ve gotten a bit more optimistic. I’ve been in a state of depression for a few days, but this will help.

    Best of luck for Science!
